Dried Flower Crown

I was thinking about making a flower crown tutorial awhile ago but there are so many out there already. I added a little twist to mine. I would love to make a fresh flower crown but it can only be worn for a day or two before wilting. Silk flowers don't really appeal to me, even though they are long lasting. Not to mention silk flowers are ridiculously expensive for what they are. Sure I could have waited around for a craft store to have a coupon or search in the sale bin but I went with what I already had. Lots and lots of dried straw flowers. I dont know why I didnt think of this before! I have a jar full of straw flowers that I use to make the floral dreamcatchers in my shop, and I also saw my jar of rose buds sitting on my desk and a lightbulb went off in my head. A dried floral crown!

I am not going to do a tutorial, you can basically glue, or wire wrap the flowers on in any way you like. I started with the purple filler flowers, added in the strawflowers and then accented with the rose buds. Just get some floral wire at your local craft store, a hot glue gun and use any dried flowers you might have or get some at a farmers market dry them for about a week and you are set to make your own!
